Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Counter Salesperson to provide excellent customer service at the Profit Center, process sales orders, and maintain inventory displays. You will engage with customers, suggest related products, and help drive sales while upholding safety and departmental procedures.

The role requires 1+ years in customer service or counter sales, knowledge of products sold in the Profit Center, and comfort with order-processing systems.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in customer service or counter sales; contractor sales preferred.
• Knowledge of products sold in the Profit Center.
• Ability to learn and operate computer order-processing systems.
• Basic math for handling cash and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers who purchase and/or pick up merchandise at the Profit Center.
• Process and fill Sales Orders accurately.
• Attract and retain customers; build relationships.
• Work with the PCM to establish revenue and margin targets.
• Verify the Pick Ticket ship date and obtain customer signature.
• Provide customers with pricing, specs, and availability.
• Keep counter area neat and displays stocked and safely displayed.
• Handle cash sale returns per policy.
• Inform supervisor of inventory levels or stock depletions.
• Answer calls and assist warehouse staff.
