Job summary

Ferguson seeks a Counter Sales Representative in Salt Lake City to advise customers on product choices and process orders. You will stage orders for pickup, keep the sales floor well-presented, and restock merchandise while maintaining safety standards and PPE usage.

Qualifications

• Customer service or counter sales experience preferred.
• Background in trades, construction, manufacturing, or related mechanical work preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of fire protection or plumbing products preferred.
• General computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise from warehouse to customer’s vehicles.
• General math skills to allow for cash accounting.
• Willingness to learn (must have).
• Excellent decision making and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides advice to customers regarding the best products to fit their needs.
• Processing orders via order management system.
• Prepare and stage orders for customer pick up.
• Maintain store appearance and merchandising standards as advised.
• Ensure that merchandise is restocked and placed in their respective areas.
• Maintain a safe working environment including PPE.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, including PPE and weight capacity requirements.

Schedule: M-F 6am-4pm (OT likely)

Responsibilities:

• Provides advice to customers regarding the best products to fit their needs
• Processing orders via order management system

• Maintain a safe working environment including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs

Qualifications:

• Customer service or counter sales experience is preferred
• Background or experience in the trades, construction, manufacturing, or related mechanical work is preferred
• Prior forklift experience is preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Basic knowledge of fire protection or plumbing products is preferred
• General computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise from warehouse to customer’s vehicles
• General math skills to allow for cash accounting
• An ability to learn is a must have!
• Excellent decision making and communication skills

Pay Range:

$15.00 - $21.68

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
