Job summary

Rexel USA is seeking a Counter Sales Representative to join our Platt team in Gresham, OR. You will deliver outstanding service, process orders efficiently, and support showroom and warehouse operations.

You will help drive sales in electrical distribution, develop relationships with customers, and stay informed on product knowledge to assist in sales decisions. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and timely customer support.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service, sales, or electrical distribution experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical products and distribution environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with purchases and order processing.
• Drive electrical distribution sales for the counter business and build customer relationships.
• Restock showroom, assist with warehouse functions, and keep showroom/ counter organized.
• Learn product knowledge and assist inside sales as needed.
• Inform manager of any safety or customer-satisfaction issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are looking for a Counter Sales Representative to join our Platt team in Gresham, OR!

Summary:

Employee’s level and pay will be dependent on their level of experience, knowledge, and capabilities. The Counter Sales Representative is a resource for immediate service and product knowledge for our customers. Provides excellent customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously with their purchases and efficient processing of their orders. Works closely with the branch team to assist in receiving, shipping, and stocking.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously with their purchases and processing of their orders or returns
• Assist in driving electrical distribution sales for our counter business and developing new and existing customer relationships
• Assist with daily restocking, showroom maintenance, and keeping showroom and counter clean and organized
• Assist with warehouse functions as needed, including receiving, shipping, stocking, and deliveries
• Stay informed and educated on product knowledge
• Assist inside sales as needed
• Inform manager of any potentially hazard or elevated situation pertaining to safety or the satisfaction of a customer
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What You’ll Need

• 2+ years of customer service, sales, or electrical distribution experience preferred
• Previous branch experience preferred
• High School or GED - Required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Electrical product knowledge and experience, including lighting, switchgear, controls, and electrical commodities preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of electrical distribution or other electrical sales environments preferred
• Familiarity with automated order entry systems & PCs running Windows-based software preferred
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate on all levels within internal and external groups
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good team player
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to type on a computer keyboard
• Great attitude
• Desire to improve electrical product knowledge
