Tacoma Screw Products in Olympia, WA is seeking a Customer-Focused Counter Sales Associate to join our fast-paced team. You will help customers select fasteners, industrial hardware, tools, and shop supplies while delivering top-notch service.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of retail experience, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently or with others in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

This position will be located at our Olympia Store;

Compensation & Schedule:

• Full-Time: 40 hours per week.
• Starting Pay: $20 per hour.
• Pay Range: $20 - $24 per hour
• Annual Bonus: Discretionary year-end bonus.

We are seeking a customer-focused and driven Counter SalesAssociate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoyshelping customers find the right products for their needs. Our idealcandidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and alwayslooking to expand their product knowledgeand customer relationships!

A Day in the Life:

As a Counter Sales Associate, you will be the firstpoint of contact for customers, assisting them in selecting, applying,and purchasing a wide range of fasteners, industrial hardware,tools, and maintenance and shop supplies. You will serve avariety of industries, including transportation, heavyequipment, maintenance and repair departments, sand/gravel pits, andmachine shops. This role is ideal for someone who enjoysproblem-solving, working with people, and providing excellent customerservice in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist walk-in and telephone customers with product inquiries,special requests, and pricing.
• Identify customer needs, clarify product specifications, andlocate or retrieve products.
• Finalize transactions and assist with product shipments when necessary.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing customers.
• Promote company products and services to drive additional sales.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional storefront.

Experience and Skills:

Required Skills & Experience:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required .

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires;
• Lifting and moving objects up to 50lb and performing physicaldemands of stocking and order fulfillment.
• Performing repetitive movements throughout the shift includingbut not limited to, bending, reaching, and lifting.
• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Unloading freight, stocking shelves, and handling inventory.
• Work in an environment that requires maintaining a consistentand often fast pace including quickly retrieving orders.
• Frequent use of computer/keyboard and phone work.
