Job summary

CK Supply Inc. is seeking a customer-oriented associate for on-site sales and day-to-day customer service in the Topeka area.

The role involves handling inquiries by phone, in person, and via email, representing CK Supply’s welding, gas, and specialty gas products with a focus on compliance and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, at least 5 years in similar customer service, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5 years of customer service experience in same or similar industry preferred.
• Experience in welding and specialty gas environment is a plus.
• Strong math, analytical, and attention to detail skills are required.
• Ability to learn and use computer software programs quickly and accurately.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for long periods.

• Engage with a wide variety of customer requests and exceed expectations.
• Provide on-the-spot creative solutions for customer issues in industrial and specialty gas fields as needed.

Daily activities will be representing all of the company's products and services within the Welding, Gas, and Specialty Gas industry while also staying current with industry regulations, guidelines and compliance for the company

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Engage with a wide variety of customer requests while thinking on your feet, troubleshooting, resolving conflicts and exceeding expectations for everything the company has to offer
• Provide "on the spot" creative solutions for customer issues in the industrial as well as the specialty gas fields as needed
• Become an expert at everything CK Supply offers through training opportunities and taking the initiative to ask questions
• Organize, clean, and maintain the showroom and retail area of responsibility to ensure a pleasant experience for all customers and guests

  Qualifications/ Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required
  • 5 years of customer service experience in same or similar industry, preferred
  • Experience within the welding and specialty gas environment is a plus
  • Experience in quality control, strong math background, analytical or ability to communicate standards and attention to detail is a must
  • Ability to learn and use computer software programs fast and accurately
  • Ability to stoop, twist, bend, kneel, and lift merchandise/equipment up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete paperwork
  • Ability to use a cash register and provide correct change
