Job summary

CK Supply is seeking a Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to DOT, FDA, NFPA, OSHA and state regulations across storage, transport, and handling of compressed gases and dry ice. You will maintain files, coordinate inspections, train staff, and drive a culture of safety and regulatory excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in trucking, industrial gases, manufacturing, or chemical distribution.
• Working knowledge of: DOT Hazardous Materials Regulations (49 CFR), FDA regs for medical gases, NFPA Codes & Standards, OSHA, state regs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure company compliance with all applicable regulations incl. DOT, FDA, NFPA, OSHA, CGA, and state/local agencies.
• Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and communicate updates to management.
• Develop, maintain, update, communicate, and train compliance policies and programs.
• Coordinate regulatory inspections and serve as primary contact for agencies.
• Maintain compliance records, permits, licenses, and documentation.
• Perform internal compliance audits and inspections of facilities and operations.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure company compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to:
  • Department of Transportation (DOT)
  • Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
  • National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
  • OSHA
  • Compressed Gas Association (CGA)
  • Special permitting
  • State and local agencies
• Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and insurance compliance, and communicate updates to the management team
• Develop, maintain, update, communicate, and train company compliance policies, procedures, and programs
• Coordinate regulatory inspections and serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies
• Maintain compliance records, permits, licenses, and required documentation
• Perform internal compliance audits and inspections of company facilities and operationsMaintain accurate records of inspections, audits, training, and regulatory documentation
• Work with Operations, Transportation, Sales, and Warehouse personnel to ensure regulatory governance across all departments
• Follow and enforce all safety guidelines and requirements, including proper personal protective equipment for employees and visitors

• Other duties, as assigned, within the job classification and business

Qualifications/ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in trucking, industrial gases, manufacturing, or chemical distribution
• Working knowledge of:
  • DOT Hazardous Materials Regulations (49 CFR)
  • FDA regulations applicable to medical gases
