Job summary

Wahlburgers in Memphis is seeking a Counter team member to deliver friendly, fast service and memorable guest experiences. You’ll greet guests, take takeout orders, enter items in the POS, and assist in maintaining a clean dining area.

Responsibilities

• Under Hospitality to our Guests: Creates a positive and memorable guest experience; answers phones, greets guests for takeout, reviews online orders.
• Provides food recommendations and addresses menu inquiries; handles allergy information.
• Accurately enters all items served at POS; processes payments and completes transactions.
• Handles guest complaints by listening, informing a manager, and resolving issues to ensure satisfaction.

Key Performance Elements/Essential Functions

Hospitality to our Guests

• Understands our culture and takes whatever steps necessary to create a positive and memorable guest experience.
• Develops guest loyalty through memorable service that keeps them coming back.
• Answers the phones, greets guests for takeout, receives & reviews online orders.
• Provides food recommendations to guests and addresses all menu and service-related inquiries.
• Follows company policy in handling guest allergies/intolerances, ensuring our guests receive "safe" meals
• Properly enters all items served to guests at our Point of Sale (POS)
• Providing friendly and attentive service that makes guests feel well taken care of and builds their intent to return.
• Provides accurate checks to guests, accepts payments, and completes all appropriate transactions.
• Handles guests' complaints by listening to their concerns, informing a manager promptly, and resolving issues to ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return to the restaurant again.

Hospitality to your Team

• Arrives to work on time as scheduled, well-groomed in the proper work attire, and ready to work.
• Clocks in and out as scheduled.
• Demonstrates a helpful and positive attitude towards guests and team members.
• Completes all assigned tasks and duties assigned by managers/supervisors.
• Follow proper cash-out/check-out procedures before leaving at the end of a shift.
• Assists fellow team members as needed to ensure our guests receive the highest standard of food, beverage, and hospitality.

Hospitality to Restaurant

• Inspects restrooms, dining room, and wait area, cleans as needed, and reports any unsafe conditions to maintain safety and sanitation standards.
• Assists in tasks to ensure a clean, sanitized, and safe environment in the restaurant.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
• Capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Able to speak to the restaurant's story and mission statement.
• Passion for hospitality, providing exceptional service, and creating memorable dining experiences.
