Job summary

Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati seeks a Count Team member to perform activities in the Count Room, ensuring the integrity of currency and vouchers counted from casino games and compliance with Gaming/Lottery regulations.

The role requires accurate counting, maintaining security, preparing funds for transfer to the Cage Department, and reporting to the Count Room Supervisor and Accounting Department daily.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent and two months on-the-job training.
• Must obtain and maintain licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming/Lottery regulations; pass background check; pass drug screening; be twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Knowledge of cashiering or banking operations and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to choose Hard Rock for gaming entertainment and mentors team members to provide superior guest service.
• Maintains protection of large currency amounts, ensuring loss prevention through extreme care and attention to detail.
• Ensures procedures and controls protect counted receipts.
• Performs a mechanically assisted count of bill validator boxes contents.
• Monitors changes affecting currency security and reports to Count Room Supervisor.
• Counts and reconciles total funds to ensure count integrity.
• Transfers documentation to Accounting Daily.
• Prepares funds with proper documentation for transfer to Cage Department.
• Conducts the full count process from opening boxes to final reconciliation and related tasks.

Count Team

Overview

The incumbent in this position is responsible for the activities in the Count Room to ensure the integrity of currency and voucher counting derived from the Casino games, as well as ensuring compliance with Gaming/Lottery commissions. The incumbent is also responsible for providing extraordinary service to both the internal and external guest.

Responsibilities

• Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
• Maintains protection of extremely large amounts of currency, ensuring prevention of loss by providing extreme care and attention to detail.
• Ensures that procedures and proper controls are affected to protect counted receipts.
• Conducts a mechanically assisted count of the contents of the bill validator boxes.
• Maintains awareness of changes and/or problems which may affect the security of the currency in the Count Room and reports observances to the Count Room Supervisor.
• Counts and reconciles total funds to ensure the integrity of the count.
• Transfers the corresponding documentation to the Accounting Department on a daily basis.
• Prepares funds, with proper documentation for transfer of funds to the Cage Department.
• Conducts all facets of the count from the opening of the boxes, counting of the drop, verification of documentation and bundling of currency to the final reconciliation of totals, as well as any other related tasks.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis) This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school education, or equivalent as well as two months on-the-job training.

Additional Requirements: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc):

• Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming/Lottery regulations
• Must successfully pass background check.
• Must successfully pass drug screening.
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.

Knowledge Of

• Cashiering or banking operations.
• The Gaming/Lottery industry, including principles and practices of a capital and operations budget.
• Procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, email, spreadsheets, and databases to include excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Financial and budgeting control skills.

Ability To
