Job summary

SPECTRACARE HEALTH SYSTEMS GROUP seeks a Counselor/Therapist for Adult Outpatient Services across Dothan, Geneva, and Barbour County locations. The role involves facilitating individual, couples, family and group therapy, and coordinating with community programs.

A completion of a relevant practicum and licensure/certification prospects are required. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate clinical records in an electronic health record system and responding to crises as needed.

Qualifications

• Counselor (BS degree)/Therapist (MS degree) in Psychology, Social Work or related field with practicum.
• Ability to obtain certification if not LPC/LICSW/LMFT.
• Substance abuse certification preferred.
• Must have a good motor vehicle record and MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate individual, couple, family and group therapy.
• Document and update clinical records in EHR.
• Coordinate with community agencies for services as needed.

Counselor / Therapist - Adult Outpatient ServicesThis position will serve at our Adult Outpatient Services in Dothan, Al, Geneva, and Barbour CountyMonday/Wednesday 8am-2pm-Adult Outpatient Services, 3pm-9pm- GenevaTuesday: 8am-5pm- Adult Outpatient Services; Thursday 1pm-9pm- Barbour CountyResponsibilities Include:Facilitating individual, couple, family and group therapy to clients employing various therapeutic techniquesDocumenting and updating clinical records using an electronic health record systemCoordinate with community agencies and programs for services as needed such as sober living homes, DHR, AA, various other civic and religious groupsResponds to crisis situations as neededRequirements:Counselor (BS degree)/Therapist (MS degree) in Psychology, Social Work or related field with completion of a relevant clinical practicumMust have a good motor vehicle record and be willing to submit to MVR checkPrefer substance abuse certification from the Alabama Association of Addiction Counselors, National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Association or International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium. If not previous certified or licensed as an LPC, LICSW or LMFT, must be willing to obtain certification within 30 months of hireIf in recovery, must have at least (3) years of verifiable sobriety
