Job summary

BrightView Health is seeking a dedicated Counselor to join our treatment team. You will lead group therapy sessions, perform intake assessments, and support treatment planning in a dynamic clinical setting.

The ideal candidate has strong counseling skills, crisis intervention abilities, and at least a bachelor’s degree with licensure or eligibility. This role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth within our recovery-focused programs.

Qualifications

  • Active licensure or eligibility for licensure as a clinician.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program is required.
  • Preferred: 2 years of experience in addiction treatment or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments per clinic needs and guidelines.
  • Provide crisis and de-escalation techniques.
  • Assist with treatment planning.
  • Review progress towards treatment plan goals.
  • Coordinate patient care with onsite multidisciplinary team.
  • Attend required meetings including on-site staff and MDT meetings.
  • Document all treatment data in the electronic health record promptly and accurately.
  • Follow regulatory and company compliance requirements.

Responsibilities
  • CLINICAL CARE:
  • Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments based on clinic needs and best-practice guidelines.
  • Provide crisis and de-escalation techniques.
  • TREATMENT PLANNING AND PROGRESS MONITORING:
  • Assist with treatment planning.
  • Review progress towards treatment plan goals.
  • COORDINATION AND COMMUNICATION:
  • Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team.
  • Attend required meetings, including on-site staff meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE:
  • Timely and comprehensively document all necessary treatment data into the electronic patient health record.
  • Follow adherence to all necessary regulatory and company compliance requirements.
Qualifications
  • EXPERIENCE
    • Preferred: 2 years of experience in a relevant field
  • EDUCATION:
    • Required: Consistent with state-level regulation and requirements, at minimum Bachelors Degree
    • Required: Bachelor’s degree

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • REQUIRED: Active clinical licensure consistent with state-level regulatory requirements, at minimum
