Dover-Eyota High School and Middle School in Eyota, MN is seeking a 0.5 FTE Counselor or Social Worker (20 hours/week) through May 28. The format is flexible (e.g., two 8-hour days plus a 4-hour day).

Provide direct and indirect social, emotional, and mental health services, and liaise with family, school, and community. Positions require MN licensure and a compassionate, collaborative approach to supporting students and families.

Dover-Eyota High School and Middle School is seeking a 0.5 FTE Counselor or Social Worker (20 hours per week) until the end of the school year (May 28).

We are flexible in format for the 20 hours (ex. two 8-hour days and one 4-hour day, five 4-hour days, etc.).

Job Objective: Provide direct and indirect social/ emotional/ mental health services to students and families and act as a liaison between family, school, and community.

Required Qualifications/ Skills

• Professional licensure in the State of MN as a School Counselor or Social Worker
• Strong work ethic, high ethical standards, self-confidence, good time-management skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication and listening skills
• Positive, professional, and collaborative with others
• Enthusiastic about working with young people

Performance Responsibilities & Duties

• Keep proper records and case notes
• Monitor and support students in maintaining satisfactory academics, engagement, and attendance progress
• Assess student and family needs by collecting, evaluating, and documenting information about the student's situation, personal and family needs, and personal and family strengths
• Coordinate and make outreach and referrals for needed community services to best support students and their families
• Provide crisis interventions and counseling as needed for students and families
• Provide ongoing social, emotional, and mental health support to students
• Provide conflict mediation and crisis management support to students and families
