Job summary

Pathways Professional Counseling/ABCH is seeking a Counselor to provide individual and family counseling, workshops, and family life conferences to support the healing ministry for children and their families. This role requires a Master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work and licensure progress with Alabama.

The position emphasizes flexible scheduling, a valid driving record, and successful completion of pre-employment screenings, including background checks.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work from an accredited college or university.
• Current Professional Counselor License from the State of Alabama or working toward licensure.
• Comparable licensure considered on a case-by-case basis.
• If licensure is not obtained within 6 months, employment may be ineligible.
• Experience in individual and group counseling with a wide range of clients, including children.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule.
• Must have good driving record and pass pre-employment screenings including criminal background.

The Counselor position will provide individual and family counseling, workshops, and family life conferences in order to bring the healing ministry of Jesus Christ to children and their families.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work from an accredited college or university.

Current Professional Counselor License from the State of Alabama or is working toward professional licensure.

Comparable licensure will be considered on a case-case basis.

If licensure is not obtained within 6 months, the employee may be ineligible to continue employment.

Experience in individual and group counseling with a wide range of clients, including children.

Willing to work a flexible schedule.
