Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare in Allentown, PA, is seeking a part-time Counselor to join our outpatient clinical team. You will deliver individual therapy, group therapy, and family sessions, support daily clinical operations, and assist with intake and documentation to ensure high-quality client care.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a behavioral health field and state licensure or certification as specified, with relevant clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, or related behavioral health field.
• Bachelor's degree in one of the disciplines listed plus one year of clinical experience.
• Full certification as an addictions counselor by a statewide certifying body or equivalent board.
• Current PA RN licensure with counseling experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual therapy, group therapy, process groups, and family therapy within outpatient program.
• Support daily clinical operations, intake processes, and documentation to ensure high-quality client care.
• Provide counseling to clients engaged in outpatient treatment.
• Attend shift-change meetings, supervision, and required company meetings.
• Perform clerical duties related to maintaining compliant and organized client files.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment, including crisis intervention when appropriate.

Our Allentown, PA outpatient program provides a supportive, therapeutic environment where clients can build strength, develop skills, and reclaim overall health and well‑being. We are currently seeking a part‑time Counselor to join our dedicated outpatient clinical team. If you're passionate about helping individuals overcome life’s challenges and thrive.

3 days/week 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.

The Counselor plays a key role in delivering individual therapy, group therapy, process groups, and family therapy within our outpatient program. This position also supports daily clinical operations, intake processes, and documentation requirements to ensure the highest level of client care.

Support daily clinical operations, including assessments, utilization review, and therapeutic services.

Provide individual counseling, group therapy, and family therapy to clients engaged in outpatient treatment.

Attend Shift‑change Meetings, Supervision, And Required Company Meetings.

Perform clerical duties related to maintaining compliant and organized client files.

Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment, including crisis intervention when appropriate.

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services field), or another related behavioral health field.

Bachelor's Degree in one of the disciplines listed above plus one (1) year of clinical experience.

Full certification as an addictions counselor by a statewide certification body that is a member of a national certification body, or certification by another state's substance abuse counseling certification board.

Current licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a degree from an accredited school of nursing and one (1) year of counseling experience.

• Experience with clinical skills in mental health, substance use, or co‑occurring disorder treatment
• Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and reliable in a fast-paced clinical environment
