Ivory Plains Recovery Center in Adair, Iowa is seeking a Counselor Two (LCSW or LISW eligible) to provide treatment, counseling, and support for clients recovering from addictions and related mental health issues. You will conduct assessments, lead group/individual sessions, and develop treatment plans while coordinating with families and insurance providers.

You will document care and progress, deliver crisis intervention when needed, and contribute to aftercare planning, workshops, and liaison

Qualifications

• Requires 3+ years post-Bachelor professional experience in addictions or counseling
• Requires 1+ years post-Masters professional experience in addictions, therapy or counseling
• Degree from an accredited college or university
• Must have current licensure as social worker, professional counselor, therapist or addiction counselor per state agency
• CPR certification and de-escalation training required

Responsabilités

• Conduct client assessments to identify history, current presentation and clinical needs
• Lead group counseling, individual or family sessions and document progress
• Prepare and review initial treatment plans and progress notes
• Provide crisis intervention and aftercare planning
• Educate clients and families on substance use and psychiatric issues
• Liaise with insurance carriers and referrals; coordinate case management
• Deliver educational workshops in hospital and community settings
• Ensure timely, clear documentation of client care and incidents
