Job summary

Amity Foundation is seeking compassionate and enthusiastic individuals to join our community as Counselor II/III within the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDTP). The role involves delivering face-to-face rehabilitative programming in a prison and re-entry context, with a work schedule from 12:00 to 8:30pm, contributing to community impact and professional growth.

The Counselor II/III position requires certification as an AOD Counselor, with Counselor III additionally

Qualifications

• Counselor II requires certification as an AOD Counselor.
• Counselor III requires certification as an AOD Counselor and one year of full-time experience providing certified AOD counseling services.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate CBI classes, using evidence-based and standardized curriculum to the participants.
• Conduct class and facilitate individual sessions to develop release prevention/action plans and/or provide make-up work.
• Evaluate and document the progress of participants assigned to their classes.
• Document delivery of CBI programming services in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms and expectations for participation and completion.
• Work collaboratively with the CDCR/CCHCS headquarters, local institution, and CDCR contracted staff.
• Other related duties as assigned.
