Summary: The Counselor, High School, is responsible for coordinating and implementing a comprehensive school counseling program to include academic advisement, social/personal counseling, career exploration, and parent/community involvement.

Education: A master's degree in School Counseling is required.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Florida Professional Educator Certificate: Guidance and Counseling (Grades PK-12) is required.

Mathematical Skills: Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Computes rate, ratio, and percent and draws and interprets bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office.
Physical Activities: Standing, walking, sitting, handling, keyboarding, talking, and hearing.

This position requires traveling to various school sites, work locations and/or community organizations throughout the district.
