Memorial Healthcare System in Florida seeks a Certified Genetics Counselor to join our genetics team. The role requires clinical expertise in pediatric or general genetic counseling, with the ability to evaluate, communicate risk, and support families with compassion.

Candidates should have or expect to obtain CGC certification within 12 months of employment and demonstrate the capacity to work in a high‑touch, high‑stakes environment with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in pediatric or general genetic counseling.
• CGC certification from ABMG or ABGC within 12 months of employment.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment with minimal supervision.

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Required Work Experience: One (1) year of experience in pediatric or general genetic counseling, rotations and/or internships will be considered.

Other Information: Requires a Certified Genetics Counselor (CGC) certification from the American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG) or the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) within 12 months of employment.
