Location: Largo, FL 33773. Salary: $73,000.00 – $78,000.00 per year (base salary $73,000 plus $5,000 incentive if license held).

Position Summary

This is a professional position providing counseling for the Cooperative Agreement to Benefit Homeless Individuals (CABHI) under the Behavioral Health and Homeless Prevention program within the Housing First Division. The CABHI program provides counseling and case management services to individuals, youth, and families who have experienced homelessness and have a severe and persistent mental health condition or co-occurring disorder. This program focuses on formally homeless individuals, youth, and families who have recently been housed in permanent or permanent supportive housing. The role is responsible for meeting productivity requirements of 75%, which includes 1,440 billable hours annually or a minimum of 30 billable hours per week.

Qualifications

1. Master’s degree in counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related field required.
2. Knowledge of DSM-IV and ICD-9 diagnostic codes preferred.
3. Basic knowledge of psychotropic medications.
4. Must have sufficient clinical knowledge to provide clinical intervention with adults and children who manifest a range of psychopathology, utilizing various treatment approaches including individual, family play, and group therapy, individual psychopathology and normal childhood development.
5. Must acquire knowledge of community resources.
6. Transport clients as needed and required in personal vehicles as part of service provision.
