Job summary

Southwest Behavioral Care in Uniontown, PA is seeking a part-time contract clinician to perform clinical assessments and provide outpatient psychotherapy, including individual, family, and group sessions. You will develop comprehensive treatment plans, participate in treatment teams, and ensure documentation and compliance with agency policies.

A Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in a clinical discipline is required, with credentials in mental health or addiction care and ability to obtain necessary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a clinical field or related DHS/DDAP regulations.
  • Graduate-level credentials in mental health or counseling.
  • Ability or willingness to obtain Mental Health Professional or Certified Addiction Counselor credential.
  • Must pass required federal and state clearances.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts assessment and diagnostic services to develop a comprehensive treatment plan and related recommendations.
  • Implements individualized treatment plans using individual, marital, group, and family approaches.
  • Participates in treatment team meetings with psychiatric and clinical staff.
  • Initiates appropriate intra- and inter-agency contact to coordinate care.
  • Prepares, maintains, and submits case records and documentation timely and professionally.
  • Adheres to all policies, laws, regulations, and ethical codes.

Job description

Position: Part‑Time Contract

Location: Southwest Behavioral Care, Uniontown, PA (15401)

Overall Function

Provides clinical assessments as well as outpatient psychotherapy, including, but not limited to, individual, family, and group sessions.

Essential Functions
  • Conducts assessment and diagnostic services to develop a comprehensive treatment plan and related treatment recommendations.
  • Develops and implements individualized treatment plans using individual, marital, group, and family methodologies.
  • Participates in treatment team meetings with all levels of psychiatric and clinical staff, both individually and in group supervision.
  • Initiates appropriate intra‑ and inter‑agency contact to facilitate the care of the individuals that are served.
  • Prepares, maintains, and submits all assigned case records, charts, reports, forms, and other required documentation in a professional and timely manner.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Adheres to all policies, laws, regulations, and codes of ethics and confidentiality as outlined by federal and state laws, and agency policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation, Nursing, or Activities Therapy in accordance with Department of Human Services (DHS) or Department of Drug & Alcohol Program (DDAP) regulations, or a Graduate Degree in a clinical discipline with 12 graduate‑level credits in mental health or counseling that is accredited and recognized by the United States Department of Education.
  • Demonstrated ability or willingness to obtain the designated managed care credential of Mental Health Professional or Certified Addiction Counselor.
  • Demonstrated ability to obtain vital information during a personal interview to make proper recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff, providers, and other social service agencies.
  • Must not be excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid, or any other federal health care program.
  • Must successfully obtain Criminal History Clearance from the Pennsylvania State Police, Child Abuse Clearance from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, and FBI Fingerprint Clearance.
