Job summary

Southwest Behavioral Care, Inc. is seeking a part-time clinician to provide clinical assessments and outpatient psychotherapy including individual, family, and group sessions in Latrobe, PA.

The role involves developing individualized treatment plans and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated care. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, creating and updating treatment plans, and maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related clinical discipline with practicum.
  • Must hold PA License as LPC or LCSW.
  • Willingness to obtain Mental Health Professional or CAC credential.

Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical assessments and outpatient psychotherapy (individual, family, group).
  • Develops treatment plans using individual, family, and group methodologies.
  • Participates in treatment team meetings and supervision.
  • Maintains accurate case records and documentation.
  • Provides licensure supervision for staff pursuing licensure.
  • Supports staff training and program compliance.

Position Type: Part‑Time Contract

Overall Function

Provides clinical assessments as well as outpatient psychotherapy including, but not limited to, individual, family, and group sessions.

Essential Functions
  • Conducts assessment and diagnostic services to develop a comprehensive treatment plan and related treatment recommendations.
  • Develops and implements individualized treatment plans using individual, marital, group, and family methodologies.
  • Participates in treatment team meetings with all levels of psychiatric and clinical staff, both individually and in group supervision.
  • Initiates appropriate intra and interagency contact to facilitate the care of the individuals that are served.
  • Consults with school personnel and representatives of other child‑serving systems, to assure an integrated approach to care.
  • Prepares, maintains, and submits all assigned case records, charts, reports, forms, and other required documentation in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provides licensure supervision (for individuals who have held licensure for a minimum of 5 years) for clinical staff seeking licensure as an LPC or LCSW.
  • Assists supervisory team with providing staff training through individual conferences, staff meetings, or side‑by‑side demonstration of techniques.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Adheres to all policies, laws, regulations and codes of ethics and confidentiality as outlined by federal and state laws, and agency policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related clinical discipline in which the degree program includes a clinical practicum also in accordance with DHS and DDAP regulations or be licensed in a clinical discipline that included mental health clinical experience.
  • Must hold a valid Pennsylvania License as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
  • Demonstrated ability or willingness to obtain the designated managed care credential of Mental Health Professional or Certified Addiction Counselor.
  • Demonstrated ability to obtain vital information during a personal interview to make proper recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff, providers, and other social service agencies.
  • Must not be excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid, or any other federal health care program.
  • Must successfully obtain Criminal History Clearance from the Pennsylvania State Police, Child Abuse Clearance from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, and FBI Fingerprints.
  • Ability to transport oneself in an insured vehicle, as program needs dictate.
  • Ability to inspect and identify violations pertaining to program regulations.
  • Ability to observe and recognize verbal and non‑verbal signs of physical or mental health/substance use diagnoses.
