Job summary

Castle Camden in Camden, NJ is seeking a Counselor for a 12-Month assignment, Monday–Friday, serving adolescents aged 10–17 in a partial care setting. Compensation is $20.00–$22.00 per hour with full benefits.

Direct care responsibilities include maintaining a therapeutic environment, leading groups, and documenting daily progress in the medical record. A BA in psychology or related field and experience with children in behavioral health are required.

Qualifications

• BA in Psychology, Social Work or related field.
• Experience with children in behavioral & mental health.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a therapeutic and safe environment for all patients.
• Facilitates regular therapeutic groups that address specific identified treatment issues and reinforces the patient’s treatment plan.
• Provides observational feedback within the multidisciplinary team context.
• Accurately records daily patient progress in the medical record as well as completing other required paperwork.
• Rides along with the van driver to transport patients to and from the program.
• Maintains certification in Handle with Care behavior management system.
• All other duties as assigned.

• MUST have a bachelor's degree in psychology or related field.
