Job summary

Castle Partial Program in Willingboro, NJ is seeking an Intake Coordinator to serve as the first contact for referrals and coordinate patient intakes with the treatment team.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field and at least one year of children’s mental health experience, with a Monday–Friday 8A-4P schedule and competitive benefits including 401(k) and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the first contact for new referrals.
• Helps to maintain a stable census through coordination with the treatment team.
• Coordinate caseloads of clinicians by scheduling intakes and tracking discharge dates.
• Screening new referrals for possible admission to the program.
• Liaise between referral sources, patients, families and the program; follow up on intake status.
• Assist families in completing behavior rating scales prior to intake appointment.
• Assist therapists with case management tasks such as scheduling patient appointments and documentation.
• Maintain daily progress notes and required paperwork.

INTAKE COORDINATOR

Monday through Friday 8A-4P (flexibility required as needed)
Starting at $48,000 ($23 per hour)

MUST have:

Responsibilities

• Serves as the first contact for new referrals.
• Helps to maintain a stable census throughout the program through coordination with members of the treatment team.
• Coordinate caseloads of clinicians by scheduling intakes and tracking discharge dates.
• Responsible for screening new referrals for possible admission to the program.
• Acts as a liaison between referral sources, the patient and family and the program. Follow-up with referral sources regarding intake cancellations/no shows and to give updates on waiting list.
• Assist families in completing behavior rating scale prior to intake appointment.
• Assist therapists in case management duties such as scheduling patient appointments, requesting documentation, etc.
• Complete yearly certification in Handle With Care behavior management system.
• Act as a community liaison for the program attending events, open houses, provider forums, etc.
• Assist in tracking referral and discharge statistics.
• Active participation in coordination of special program events (e.g. Open House, Art Show).
• Flexibility to offer support to the daily schedule when needed including:
• Provides direct care and management of patient population.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients.
• Facilitates therapeutic groups that address specific identified treatment issues and reinforces the patient’s treatment plan.
• Provides observational feedback within the multidisciplinary team context.
• Accurately records daily patient progress in the medical record as well as completing other required paperwork.
• Rides along with the van driver to transport patients to and from program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or related field.
• 1 year experience in the provision of children’s mental health services.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with community mental health resources.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to accept supervision and guidance.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently.
