Recovery Centers of America is seeking a Counselor to deliver RCA’s SUD and mental health curriculum across inpatient and outpatient programs. The role requires facilitating at least 20 one-hour groups per week and participating in staff meetings and trainings.
The counselor may carry a patient caseload and must communicate effectively, document promptly, and collaborate with the care team in fast-paced environments within RCA facilities.
Counselor is responsible for the delivery of RCA’s SUD and mental health curriculum for patients in inpatient and/or outpatient programs. The counselor is expected to ensure quality and consistency in the delivery of curriculum Responsible for facilitating at minimum 20 one-hour groups per week( 4 per day). The Counselor will also be required to attend staff meetings and trainings as assigned and may carry a patient caseload.

Work Environment: May work in various environments including professional offices, clinics, hospitals, or out-patient facilities. T hey spend much of their time on their feet, actively working with patients.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and o vernight travel may be expected.
Please note: A former patient may not be hired at the same location where they were treated until a minimum of one year has elapsed since the completion of their treatment at that location. Former patients may be considered for employment at locations within RCA other than where they were treated within a year after treatment.
