Job summary

Recovery Centers of America in Danvers is seeking a Recovery Counselor to work with patients and a multidisciplinary team in a structured, therapeutic setting.

You will provide individual and group support, conduct assessments, and help navigate barriers to treatment while coordinating with clinical staff for continuity of care. A focus on family sessions and community engagement supports sustained recovery.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma required;Bachelor’s in social work, psychology, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: At least 1 year in the substance use disorder or behavioral health field.
  • Skills: Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with addiction recovery, DSM criteria, co-occurring disorders, and treatment processes.
  • Tech: Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
