Job summary

RadNet, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Coordinator to supervise the quality of patient care within a multidisciplinary team. The role ensures safe operation of clinical services across days, evenings, and weekends, with staffing and scheduling responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Two years supervisory clinical experience in a health or human service agency.
  • Two years of peer support, recovery coaching, or recovery specialist experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Customer service orientation and accountability for outcomes.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight, supervision and quality assurance of all mental health and AOD clinical services, including record keeping and direct services.
  • Coordinate weekly treatment planning and service utilization with Clinical Director/Supervisor.
  • Use standardized assessment tools to evaluate patient needs (psychological, psychosocial, safety, education).
  • Document all client interactions in the electronic record for continuity of care.
  • Lead crisis de-escalation sessions as needed and provide shift supervision to staff.
  • Mentor and supervise clinical staff on shift; provide coaching as required.
  • Participate in programming by delivering individual and group counseling.
  • Coordinate with nursing and other departments on admissions and treatment planning.

Job description

A former patient may not be hired at the same location where they were treated until a minimum of one year has elapsed since the completion of their treatment at that location. Former patients may be considered for employment at other RCA locations within a year after treatment. This consideration will be subject to the standard hiring process and must not compromise ethical standards, patient care, or the reputation of RCA.

Position Overview

The Clinical Coordinator provides support and supervision of the quality of patient care as a member of a multi‑disciplinary team. He/she also is responsible for the safe and effective operation of clinical services days, evenings and/or weekends. Assists with staffing and scheduling. Direct oversight of all clinical staff working within the units during their assigned shifts.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Oversight, supervision and quality assurance of all mental health and AOD clinical services, including record keeping and direct services.
  • Collaborates with the Clinical Director and/or Clinical Supervisor to facilitate team case conferences weekly to ensure coordinate implementation of treatment plans and service utilization.
  • Uses clinical assessment tools accurately, assessing each patient's psychological, psychosocial, safety and educational needs.
  • Appropriately documents all client interaction into the record for continuity of care.
  • Facilitates crisis de‑escalation sessions with clients as needed.
  • Provides supervision and mentoring to the clinical staff on the shift.
  • Participates in programming by providing individual and group counseling.
  • Communicates with inter‑disciplinary departments, including nursing, regarding new admissions and sharing clinical observations on unit to ensure collaborative treatment approach.
  • Performs employee counseling and communicates incidents to the Clinical Supervisor.

Education and Experience
  • Prefer 1 year of related experience, preferably in a residential setting, providing group‑based care and/or with a substance use disordered population.
  • Eligible for independent licensure or credential within 3 years of hire date if not already in process or credentialed. Acceptable licensure includes LPCA, LPC, LPCS, LMSW, LISW, LMFTA, LMFTS, LACA, LAC and LACS. Acceptable credentials include ADC‑IP, ADC, AADC, AADC‑CS. Other credentials will be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.
  • Two years supervisory clinical experience in a health/human service agency.
  • Two years’ peer support, recovery coaching or recovery specialist experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrates concern for meeting internal and external customers' needs in a manager that provides satisfaction for the customer within the resources that can be made available.

Work Environment: May work in various environments including professional offices, clinics, hospitals, or out‑patient facilities. They spend much of their time on their feet, actively working with patients.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out‑of‑the‑area and overnight travel may be expected.
