Job summary

BayMark Health Services seeks a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to support patients through medically assisted treatments and coping strategies for opioid addiction. You will conduct individual and group sessions, evaluate progress, and collaborate with a healthcare team to improve outcomes.

The role requires Nebraska licensure (LADC or PLADC), successful background checks, and supervision when licensure hours are needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold Nebraska licensure as a substance abuse counselor (LADC or PLADC).
• Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening required.
• Supervised by an LIMHP if hours for licensure are needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to patients in a substance abuse treatment program.
• Maintain accurate records to meet regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Serve as liaison between patients and the treatment program.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor Needed!

Position Overview:

Substance abuse counselor will be in charge with assisting patients through medically assisting treatments and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction. Substance abuse counselor conducts individual sessions and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies. Substance abuse counselor will evaluate patients’ progress during counseling and collaborate with doctors, nurses and other counselors to assist the patients’ achieving overall outcome.

Responsibilities:

• Provides counseling and case management services to patients in a substance abuse treatment program.


• Keeps accurate records to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards.


• Acts as patients' liaison with entire program.


• Other related duties as determined by supervisor

Qualifications:

• Must be licensed in the State of Nebraska for substance abuse counseling


• The applicant must be either provisionally licensed addiction counselor (PLADC) or licensed addiction counselor (LADC)


• Potential hire will be supervised by a LIMHP if needing hours for licensure


• Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen
