Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems is seeking a Counselor for the Lowell, MA inpatient CSS program. The role provides individual and group clinical services, along with comprehensive case management for clients with mental health and/or substance use issues.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree, plus supervised counseling experience; LADC I/CADAC certification is preferred. Strong documentation skills and comfort with EHRs are expected in this full-time role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• LADC I or CADAC certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year supervised counseling experience in substance abuse treatment or related field.
• Basic ability to use computers to utilize electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Providing documented individual and group clinical services and case management to clients with mental health, substance abuse, or dual diagnosis problems.
• Performing intake assessments and completing all related documentation within required time frames.
• Providing quality clinical services and case management in accordance with Spectrum’s design, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
• Developing, implementing, and revising individual treatment plans with client participation.
• Demonstrating interpersonal skills to interact with clients, staff, families, vendors, and regulatory agencies.

Available full-time schedules:

• Sunday - Thursday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
• Tuesday - Saturday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Pay rate: $23.00-$26.00/ hour

The Counselor is responsible for:

• Providing documented individual and group clinical services and case management to clients with mental health, substance abuse, or dual diagnosis problems.
• Performing intake assessments and completes all associated documentation within required time frames.
• Providing quality clinical services and case management to assigned clients in accordance with Spectrum’s clinical design and in compliance with all licensing, accreditation, and regulatory bodies.
• Developing, implementing, and revising individual treatment plans for assigned clients in established time frames with the participation of the client.
• Demonstrating a satisfactory level of interpersonal skills to interact with clients, staff, families, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
