Job summary

HealthPartners, Hudson Hospital & Clinic, and affiliated facilities are seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to guide patients through intensive outpatient and continuing care plans and to complete intake assessments. The role requires an SAC-related degree and WI licensure eligibility, with preferred bachelor’s and experience as a treatment counselor.

• Experience as a Treatment Counselor is preferred.

Job description

This position includes working and traveling to Hudson Hospital & Clinic, Amery Hospital & Clinic, and Westfields Hospital & Clinic. The Substance Abuse Counselor facilitates patients in obtaining the knowledge and tools to complete all aspects of intensive outpatient and continuing care treatment plans and individual goals of treatment. Complete all aspects of the intake assessment process.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of Associate's degree required in Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC) specific program.
• Eligibility for WI license as a Substance Abuse Counselor - In Training (SACIT), Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC) or Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Substance Abuse Counselor specific program.
• In addition to SAC license, also has WI license in a Professional Counselor (PC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) or Psychologist.
• Experience as a Treatment Counselor.
