Job summary

The Counseling Center seeks a Mental Health Counselor / Therapist to support a growing Mental Health Intensive Outpatient program. You will conduct intake, assessments, individual sessions, and group therapy, delivering compassionate, evidence-based care.

Qualifications include CADC or CADC intern registered for classes or a Bachelor’s degree with active enrollment toward licensure; you must pursue CADC or LAC/LSW licensure within 3 years. This full-time role offers competitive pay and benefits.

• Must complete CADC certification or LAC/LSW licensure within 3 years from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• New patient intake and orientation as part of initial access to care.
• Conducts initial assessment and informs clinical team for treatment planning.
• Delivers individual therapy sessions with clients.
• Facilitates therapy groups and addresses patient concerns.
• Provides case management and coordinates care with families as needed.
• Documentation in patient medical records and schedules tours for prospective patients.

Position Title: Mental Health Counselor / Therapist

Counselor Duties/Responsibilities:

• New patient intake and orientation
• Conducts initial assessment of patient problems and needs and reports to clinical team to initiate treatment planning
• Conducts individual sessions
• Facilitates groups with patients
• Addresses patient's concerns and helps eliminate possibility of AMA
• Provides Case Management
• Provides tours for prospective patients and their families as requested.
• Documentation in patient medical record

Counselor Requirements:

• Must be one of the following: CADC; CADC intern registered for classes; or Bachelor's degree with active enrollment in a college program toward licensure (social work, counseling, or psychology)
• Must complete CADC certification or LAC/LSW licensure within 3 years from date of hire

Counselor Schedule:

• Full Time

Counselor Compensation:

• Hourly rate competitive with experience and location
