Job summary

Bradford Health Services in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Therapist (PRN) to support individuals, families and groups, delivering evidence-based interventions and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote mental health and well-being.

You will assess clients, create treatment plans, conduct individual and group therapy, provide crisis intervention when needed, and document progress while upholding confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
  • Valid state licensure as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in mental health counseling, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health principles and evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse client populations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough psychological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions using various therapeutic modalities including psychotherapy and behavioral health techniques.
  • Facilitate crisis intervention and provide immediate support to clients experiencing acute mental health episodes.
  • Implement anger management and coping strategies to assist clients in managing emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • Document client progress, maintain confidential records, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care.

About the Role:

As a Therapist, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals, families, and groups to improve their mental health and overall well-being. You will provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of each client, helping them navigate life transitions, manage emotional challenges, and develop coping strategies. Your work will involve assessing clients’ mental health status, creating treatment plans, and facilitating individual and group therapy sessions. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and contribute to crisis intervention efforts when necessary. Ultimately, your goal is to empower clients to achieve healthier behavioral patterns and improved quality of life through compassionate and professional therapeutic support.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or higher in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
  • Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in mental health counseling, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health principles and evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse client populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification or specialized training in group therapy, family therapy, or anger management.
  • Experience working with clients undergoing significant life transitions or trauma recovery.
  • Familiarity with integrated care models and collaboration within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Additional credentials such as Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in teletherapy platforms and digital mental health tools.
