Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. in Bridgewater, MA is seeking a Counselor to educate inmates using the approved curriculum and to document case records accordingly.

You will participate in weekly multidisciplinary meetings and work more than 40 hours as needed, including evenings and weekends to meet program needs. A BA/MA or 2 years of related experience is required; DOC experience or related certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• BA/MA or 2 years equivalent in criminal justice, human services, education or related field.
• DOC experience and/or Alcohol/Drug certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all inmates are provided with education in the assigned curriculum approved by the Department of Correction and are responsible for written documentation in the case records.
• Participating in a multi-disciplinary team meeting on a weekly basis or as directed.
• Working the hours required to meet the business needs of the organization including the ability to work more than 40 hours in a work week which may include evening and weekend programming.

Full-time, 40 hours per week

Pay rate

$26.92/hour ($56,000 annually) If candidates are able to successfully complete and pass an internal Spanish Fluency Assessment, employees would be eligible for a 10% salary increase, $29.6154/hour (61,000 annually)
