Alternate Perspectives, Inc. (API) is seeking a Counseling Supervisor to oversee and enhance student counseling services, including social, personal, and career development counseling, mental health services, and case management for students ages 16‑24.
What You’ll Do
- Lead & manage the counseling department, ensuring effective student support services.
- Supervise Career Counselors and Career Preparation Instructors.
- Provide training to staff, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing team.
- Monitor & evaluate counseling services, ensuring program effectiveness and policy compliance.
- Support mental health needs, coordinating with the Mental Health Coordinator for evaluations & referrals.
- Oversee student progress tracking, ensuring timely assessments and case management.
- Develop & enforce policies, ensuring adherence to program and safety standards.
- Train & mentor staff, empowering counselors to provide effective student support.
- Promote student development, helping students build skills for career and life success.
- Ensure compliance with PII and confidentiality policies.
- Foster a safe & inclusive environment, free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect.
What We’re Looking For
- Education & Experience:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree (including 15 hours of social sciences instruction) from an accredited institution.
- 2+ years of counseling or related experience.
- 2+ years working with youth & young adults.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficiency in case management & program development.
- Knowledge of mental health & social services resources.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

Compensation details: $45,000 – $48,000
