The successful candidate will develop an externally funded research program, teach graduate and undergraduate courses, mentor doctoral students, supervise theses, and contribute to clinical training and program accreditation.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program or a closely related discipline.
• Eligibility for licensure as a psychologist in the State of Texas.
• Evidence of a strong and growing research agenda with potential for sustained external funding.
• Demonstrated record of scholarly publications.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching, mentoring, and training students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain an externally funded research program in counseling psychology.
• Teach undergraduate and doctoral-level courses in counseling psychology and related areas.
• Mentor doctoral students in research, clinical training, and professional development.
• Supervise doctoral research, including master's theses and doctoral dissertations.
• Contribute to doctoral clinical training through practicum supervision and other training experiences consistent with the faculty member's expertise.
• Publish impactful research in leading peer-reviewed journals and present findings at national and international conferences.
• Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to advance research that promotes psychological health, resilience, and well‑being.
• Contribute to curriculum development, APA accreditation activities, departmental governance, and professional service.
