Job summary

Seattle University seeks a Counseling Placement Program Manager in the Counseling Department to oversee practicum and internship coordination and licensure disclosure compliance for CACREP-accredited programs.

The role partners with diverse community agencies, maintains placement databases and handbooks, facilitates information sessions, supports field experiences, and ensures accurate data collection and reporting for accreditation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling from a CACREP program with licensure trajectory preferred.
• 2+ years of placement coordination experience for practicum/internship.
• Familiarity with CACREP regulations and licensure policies.
• Experience in education (K-12 or higher ed) and mental health settings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and data management systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify and maintain partnerships with diverse community agencies for placements.
• Ensure practicum/internship placements meet accreditation standards.
• Create and update placement forms and handbooks; manage data in SimCare.
• Facilitate information sessions; support field experiences for students.
• Maintain records and collaborate on accreditation reporting.
• Coordinate site supervisor training and administer satisfaction surveys.
• Oversee licensure disclosure processes for counseling programs.
