Job summary

Hood College seeks a full-time Professor of Practice/Clinic Director to lead the NeighborHOOD Counseling and Training Center (NCTC) clinic and teach in the MS in Counseling program. The role combines administrative oversight with classroom teaching and community outreach.

Preferred candidates have CACREP-related credentials and substantial clinical supervision experience; the position starts January 2027 and is on-site in Frederick, MD.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of clinical counseling experience
• Licensed or license-eligible as a professional counselor in Maryland
• 1 year of teaching experience in counselor education
• 1 year of clinical supervision experience (Board-Approved Supervisor in MD or eligibility)
• Advanced coursework/training in clinical supervision
• Knowledge of CACREP accreditation and Maryland licensure requirements
• Experience with electronic health record systems

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinic operations
• Provide clinical supervision to NCTC counseling trainees
• Teach 1-2 courses per term (12 credits per year)
• Maintain weekly office hours and student contact
• Utilize Blackboard and Anthology for instruction and data collection
• Participate in department meetings and college service
