Job summary

Simmons University, located in Boston, MA, seeks a Counseling Center Clinician to provide counseling services to undergraduate students, supervise trainees, and co-facilitate the Intern Training program. The role may coordinate outreach and wellness programming and involves collaboration with the Multicultural Center.

The successful candidate will supervise trainees, maintain documentation, and adhere to ethical codes.

Qualifications

• LICSW or LICSW eligible in MA.
• Two years post-mental health degree clinical experience with young adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling to Simmons University undergraduate students, including triage, urgent care and ongoing therapy.
• Supervise Counseling Center trainees individually and/or in small groups and complete evaluations for graduate programs.
• Co-facilitate the intern training program and coordinate outreach and wellness programming.
• Serve as liaison between Counseling Center and Multicultural Center.
• Maintain confidentiality and clinical documentation; follow ethical guidelines.
• Open/close the Center on in-office days and participate in Simmons events as needed.
• Respond to occasional evening/weekend contacts from the Director.
