Snap, Inc. seeks an experienced litigator to join the Litigation & Safety Team. You will broadly manage complex matters, coordinate with in-house and outside counsel, and help shape strategic legal decisions across multiple jurisdictions.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years of complex litigation, strong oral and written advocacy, and a proven ability to navigate fast-paced environments while aligning legal strategy with business goals.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school and strong academic credentials.
• 6+ years of complex litigation experience in private practice.
• In-house experience preferred; active state bar membership in good standing.

• As a member of the Legal team, you’ll play a key role on Snap’s Litigation and Safety team. Snap’s Legal team helps Snap do the right thing the right way, make better decisions, understand and manage risks, and creatively navigate challenges, both external and internal

• Be an active and strategic member of a team managing a diverse range of matters within Snap’s complex litigation docket across multiple jurisdictions
• Partner with in-house and outside counsel to manage cutting-edge cases, overseeing substantive work and be a key participant in strategic decision-making
• Dive deep into substantive work on cutting-edge legal issues
• Manage and contribute to individual litigation matters across multiple jurisdictions, including working with outside counsel, managing discovery, editing legal briefs, preparing witnesses, and negotiating settlements
• Collaborate across litigation teams and cross-functionally across Snap

We’re looking for an experienced, multidimensional litigator to join our talented and collaborative Litigation & Safety Team

• Strong organizational and case management skills
• Able to juggle multiple projects at a time in a fast-paced environment
• Highly skilled in all aspects of litigation (e.g., brief-writing, legal strategy, discovery, deposition and trial preparation, expert witnesses); trial experience a plus
• Self-starter who is able to recognize and set priorities independently
• Ability to collaborate well with colleagues
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience handling significant aspects of complex legal matters, including meaningfully contributing to strategic decisions
• Sound judgment on legal and business issues
• Facility with eDiscovery, including managing voluminous document productions in a cost-effective manner
• Collaborative team player who can connect well with a broad range of people and knows how to provide solution-minded legal advice, cognizant of business objectives
• J.D. degree from an accredited law school and strong academic credentials
• 6+ years of complex litigation experience in private practice
• Active membership in at least one state bar in good standing
• Trial experience is a plus
• Member of California Bar or Member of the California Bar’s Registered In-house Counsel Program (current or immediately eligible)
• In-house experience is highly preferred. If you have all of that plus experience with the tech sector, we’ll be blown away
