Job summary

Erie Insurance Group is seeking an experienced attorney for its Law Division in the Data, Privacy & Tech Department. The role will advise on legal obligations related to data privacy, cybersecurity, AI regulation, and related contracts, with responsibilities spanning policy development, incident response, and corporate transactions.

The position offers progression from Counsel I to III depending on experience, and requires strong regulatory understanding, a J.D.

Qualifications

• J.D. or L.L.B. degree from an accredited law school required.
• Ten years of related experience, preferably in corporate and/or insurance law.
• Admitted to practice in at least one state; eligibility for reciprocity or in-house admission if not admitted in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel and guidance on ordinary and special business activities and operations to protect ERIE's interests.
• Review proposed contracts, leases and other formal agreements and insurance forms; ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Assist in directing defense of the company and liaise with outside counsel as needed; support regulatory and legislative activities.
