Job summary

Cintas is seeking a Counsel – Corporate to provide in-house legal services focused on contract review and negotiation. The role reports to Senior Counsel and Deputy General Counsel and involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial transactions, including customer and vendor contracts.

The successful candidate may learn compliance procedures for government contracts and will collaborate with leadership on key terms and bids.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate required for the role.
  • Licensed to practice law in at least one state.
  • Minimum 2 years of full-time relevant legal experience.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and intranet/internet.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, structure, and negotiate commercial transactions on a day-to-day basis.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to negotiate terms and conditions of customer and vendor contracts.
  • Assist with government compliance matters and bid responses as needed.

Job description

Cintas is seeking a Counsel – Corporate to provide in-house legal services to the Company with particular emphasis on contract review and negotiation. Under the general supervision of Senior Counsel and the Deputy General Counsel, the Counsel – Corporate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, structuring, and negotiating commercial transactions on a day-to-day basis. This position will assist with collaborating and providing direction and support to Cintas leadership with negotiating terms and conditions of new or renewed customer and vendor contracts. A successful candidate may have experience or be willing to learn proper compliance procedures and industry practices with respect to federal, state, and local government contracts. This position will work directly with customers, vendors, and internal partners in negotiating terms and conditions and responding to bids, requests for proposal, etc. Some training of partners on contract terms and conditions as well as government compliance matters will be required.

Required
