Position Summary:
- The Cottage Dining Attendant is responsible for the coordination, transportation, and execution of food and beverage service for guests who are dining in a cottage or home. Cottage Dining is a high-level amenity that requires a prompt professional demeanor, has exceptional follow-through while providing a warm, genuine experience tailored for every group.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations.
- Arrive well-groomed, in proper uniform, and ready to begin the scheduled shift on time.
- Act as a company liaison during group/banquet events, with knowledge of setup, menus, and private dining guidelines.
- Communicate with the Banquet Culinary team and Cottage Dining Coordinators regarding timing, quality, and any necessary adjustments.
- Manage conflict and adapt to last-minute changes, late arrivals, and special requests.
- Follow food allergy procedures and accommodate special orders/restrictions.
- Assist with wine selections and upsell, with guidance from the Wine Director.
- Clear dirty dishes promptly as guests finish and maintain cleanliness of dining areas throughout the event.
- Handle and transport products and supplies safely.
- Return all equipment and banquet supplies cleaned and in their proper place at the end of the shift.
- Comply with all health, food, beverage, alcohol, tobacco, fire, and other laws/requirements.
- Report guest complaints promptly to food and beverage management.
- Perform side work, cleanup, and closing duties as assigned.
- Maintain cleanliness of food and beverage locations, equipment, restrooms, and storage areas.
- Hold a valid driver’s license and navigate high-traffic roads/trails and rough terrain safely.
- Complete a detailed end-of-night report.
- Verify the accuracy of BEO prices, taxes, tips, and charges before processing the final bill for manager approval.
- Follow proper procedures for handling cash, tips, and service charges.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma preferred.
- 1-year of food service experience preferred.
- Ability to handle and serve products containing tobacco or alcohol.
- Completion of Learn2Serve Training for Alcohol, Food Handling, and Tobacco required prior to or within 30 days of employment.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to analyze and solve problems, manage multiple tasks under pressure, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including nights and weekends, from April to October.
- Positive attitude with a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings, including the restaurant/lounge and on-course areas. Team members may be exposed to hot surfaces, sharp utensils, moving equipment, cleaning materials, and varying weather conditions. Adhering to safety protocols is essential to prevent injuries from environmental and equipment hazards.
