Job summary

Welltower's Development and Construction Manager (IL Cottages) leads cottage projects from feasibility to delivery, ensuring schedules and budgets align with the IL Cottage prototype standards and operator requirements. You will collaborate with development partners, architects, engineers, and general contractors to execute projects in a fast-paced healthcare real estate environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in CM, CE, Architecture, or related field.
• 5+ years of real estate development or construction management experience.
• Experience in senior housing, multifamily, or comparable residential product.
• Proficiency with Procore, Yardi, Bluebeam, and MS Project.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned cottage projects from pre-development through stabilization, including schedule and budget oversight.
• Coordinate architects, civil engineers, GC, owner’s reps, and other consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track progress against milestones and recommend corrective actions to leadership.
• Review pay apps, change orders, and financial documents per internal protocols.
• Support entitlements, permitting, and design coordination with partners to optimize cost and schedule.
• Maintain project records and prepare status updates for senior leadership.
