Fort Wayne Health Campus, a premier skilled nursing facility, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic team in Fort Wayne, IN. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement treatment plans, perform interventions, and support residents recovering from surgery, injury, or illness.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient education, and thorough documentation of progress.

Competenze

Completion of an associate's degree program in occupational therapy assistance.
Current Indiana COTA certification.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Mansioni

Assist occupational therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans to improve residents' functional abilities.
Conduct occupational therapy interventions, including exercises, activities, and training, to restore and improve residents' skills and abilities.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Provide education and training to residents, families, and caregivers on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.
Document resident progress and communicate with the occupational therapist and other healthcare professionals.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident care and progress.
