Job summary

Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. The role focuses on helping patients regain independence and improve daily living activities after illness or injury, through prescribed therapy.

This full-time position offers day shifts, 8-hour hours, and a benefits package including health coverage and paid time off.

Qualifications

• COTA degree from an accredited program.
• Current state Occupational Therapy certification.
• BCLS (AHA) certification required on hire and maintained.
• NBCOT certification; OTAC/AOTA membership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prescribed therapy services under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Deliver OT treatments per established plans of care.
• Assist patients with mobility, ADLs, coordination, and strength.
• Monitor progress and communicate changes to the OT and care team.
• Educate patients and families throughout rehabilitation.
• Ensure therapy services comply with hospital policies and regulations.

Education

Association Degree (COTA) from an accredited program

Current state Occupational Therapy certification

BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current

National Board for Certification Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA and OTAC membership preferred
