Job summary

River Crossing Rehab and Healthcare Center seeks a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to support the supervising Occupational Therapist in implementing resident-specific treatment plans. The OTA provides direct patient care, assists with ADL training, and documents progress in EMRs.

The role involves program development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and education for residents and staff, with opportunities to contribute to care plan meetings and ongoing clinical programming.

Qualifications

• Must be COTA certified.
• Must be licensed in Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care per plan of care.
• Implement intervention plans, including ADL training.
• Gather objective data for Section GG during assessments.
• Execute assigned screens for residents.
• Participate in program development and clinical programming.
• Monitor residents and report changes to the supervising OT.
• Document progress and interventions in EMRs (POS) and maintain up-to-date evaluations and notes.
• Educate residents, family members, and care staff on safe techniques and exercises.
• Collaborate with nursing and rehab staff, attend care plan meetings.
