Job summary

Sweetwater Care seeks a Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide patient-centered therapy under OT supervision. You will document treatments, track progress, and assist in maintaining the rehab department while contributing to team conferences.

The role emphasizes adherence to facility guidelines, effective communication with the health team, and training opportunities for staff. Family instruction on maintenance programs is included.

Qualifications

• Licensed OTA with valid licensure in the state.
• Open to therapists at all experience levels.
• Strong writing and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and adhere to facility documentation guidelines.
• Record treatments given and progress notes in medical records.
• Assist in maintaining department operations.
• Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area.
• Communicate with supervisor and health team members about patient progress, problems and plans.
• Participate in training programs for other staff in the facility.
• Record treatment charges per facility policy and procedures.
• Instruct family members or nursing staff in maintenance programs.
