Job summary

Paradigm Home Health Companies seeks a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant PRN in Temple, Texas. The ideal candidate should have an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy, current BSL/CPR certification, and home health experience. Responsibilities include following care plans, communicating with therapists, and facilitating patient mobility. Knowledge of WellSky EMR software is a plus, valid Texas Driver's License required. This position focuses on patient care to ensure their functional mobility and safety needs are met.

Qualifications

• Required: Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy with current license.
• Must have current Certification in BSL/CPR.
• Home health experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow written POC program given by supervising therapists.
• Communicate regularly with supervising therapists.
• Report unfavorable signs and symptoms to supervising therapists.
• Participate in case coordination with staff nurses and physicians.
• Use universal precautions and infection control.
• Facilitate patients' mobility and safety issues.

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant PRN

Responsibilities and Duties

• Follow written POC program as given by supervising therapists, based on the individual patient needs and physician approval, to obtain goals.
• Communicate on a regular basis with supervising therapists’ approval, to obtain goals.
• Provide appropriate clinical followup by reporting unfavorable signs and symptoms to supervising therapists.
• Participate in case coordination regularly with staff nurses and physicians and document appropriately in medical record.
• Use universal precautions and infection control as required to prevent cross contamination and transmission of disease with patients.
• Facilitate patients ROM, strength coordination, use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications functional mobility and safety issues related to patient’s ADL performance needs under the supervision of the OTR.

Qualifications and Skills

• Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy with current license to practice occupational therapy
• Current Certification in BSL/CPR
• Home Health Experience
• Valid Texas Driver's License and Automobile Insurance
• Knowledge of WellSky EMR software is a plus
