About This Position

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant PRN

Responsibilities and Duties

• Follow written POC program as given by supervising therapists, based on the individual patient needs and physician approval, to obtain goals.
• Communicate on a regular basis with supervising therapists’ approval, to obtain goals.
• Provide appropriate clinical follow-up by reporting unfavorable signs and symptoms to supervising therapists.
• Participate in case coordination regularly with staff nurses and physicians and document appropriately in medical record.
• Use universal precautions and infection control as required to prevent cross contamination and transmission of disease with patients.
• Facilitate patient ROM, strength coordination, use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications, functional mobility and safety issues related to patient’s ADL performance needs under the supervision of the OTR.
