Job summary

Ernest Health, Inc. is seeking a COTA on a PRN basis at Mesquite Rehabilitation Institute in Mesquite, Texas.

The role supports inpatient rehabilitation for patients with strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic surgeries through occupational therapy services. The ideal candidate holds current COTA licensure and CPR, with preference for at least one year of direct rehabilitation patient care experience.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support/CPR card required.
• One year of direct patient care experience in rehabilitation hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of an occupational therapist, provides rehabilitative services to individuals with physical impairments.
• Monitors the patient's program and records patient's progress for the occupational therapist.
• Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Current licensure as a COTA required per state guidelines.


• Current Basic Life Support/CPR card required.


• One year of direct patient care experience in rehabilitation hospital setting preferred.
