Job summary

Hayward Gardens Post Acute in Hayward, CA is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on a PRN basis. Pay is $55.00-$60.00 per hour.

The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide hands-on treatment and document services for residents in a skilled nursing and post-acute setting. The role involves implementing individualized treatment plans, direct resident care, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to optimize rehabilitation

Qualifications

• Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in California.
• Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide OT treatments under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Document treatment services accurately and in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehab team and participate in care conferences.
• Assist Restorative Aides and support discharge planning with the team.

Hayward Gardens Post Acute is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation department on a PRN basis.

Working under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA provides hands-on treatment to help residents regain independence, improve functional abilities, and enhance their quality of life in a skilled nursing and post-acute setting.

Position Summary

The COTA assists the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans, providing direct resident care, documenting treatment services, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with facility, state, federal, and payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control, safety, and equipment maintenance protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care Conferences and rehabilitation meetings as needed.
• Assist the nursing department with training Restorative Aides.
• Communicate regularly with the supervising Occupational Therapist regarding resident progress, treatment goals, physician updates, and discharge planning.
