Job summary

Stonehaven Health and Rehab in Alabama is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Therapy Team. The COTA plans, organizes, develops, and directs Occupational Therapy Services in our facility in line with federal, state, and local standards to ensure high-quality resident care.

The position is per diem/PRN with flexible scheduling. You will implement treatment plans, document care per CMS guidelines, and collaborate with therapists, residents, and families to achieve

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• AL OTA licensure is required for practice.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Screen residents to determine best intervention per scope of practice.
• Perform treatment plans and follow short/long-term goals per care plan.
• Interpret and communicate findings to residents, families and team members.
• Establish resident therapy schedules with other team members.
• Deliver therapy as per treatment plan and document/bill CMS standards.
• Comply with CMS documentation standards daily; perform other duties as required.

Education

Stonehaven Health and Rehab is seeking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Therapy Team. As a COTA you will be responsible to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Status: Per Diem/PRN

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient based off scope of practice
• Perform treatment plan to residents; follow short and long term goals and methods to achieve goals based off of the established plan of care by supervising therapist
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Comply with all CMS documentation standards of practice daily with point of care documentations as indicated

Education & Qualifications
